On Supply-Side Inflation and Some Unconventional Indicators for Measuring Inflation

The paper provides an analysis of the inflation problem caused by COVID-19 pandemic and continued Russia’s war against Ukraine, through different channels, including global supply chain disruption, increased governmental spending, decreased goods and, etc. Inflation, which in this case was supply-side driven inflation, serious debates terms how to tackle challenge. Should central banks use their standard instruments is it enough old-fashioned index create economic recovery anti-inflationary policies for countries, especially when speaking about import-dependent, consumer-style developing countries? Herein, we analyze most recent challenges inflationary process, starting from point launched finishing with issue overcome current crisis. Some unconventional macroeconomic indicators are also offered governments a better more in-depth understanding creation policy vis-à-vis inflation.
